Activities at Ziwani Island and around Lake Naivasha
We offer a varied range of activities at Ziwani Island and around the lake: from water sports on the Lake to golf at Great Rift Valley Lodge; from hiking Mt. Logonot to game viewing and rock climbing in Hell’s gate; from flamingo viewing at Lake Oloidien to visiting floriculture farms; from boat cruises around the lake bird and hippo watching to walking amongst the game on our own private game sanctuary. Your days can be as action packed or as relaxing as you want them to be.
Just sitting around the house and enjoying the views satiated by sumptuous gourmet meals may be all you want to do.
Our comfortable speed boat “Fish Eagle” can seat up to 12 people and we offer a range of water sports including water skiing, tubing and fishing. For birdwatching, you might want to take the locally made hardwood fishing boat which is quieter and can navigate the shallower waters. Early morning or evening cruises in the speed boat offer a chance to view the beautiful scenery and wildlife around the lake.
Around the island we offer a gym and a spa, situated in a tent on a deck floating above the water. Walks to the top of the hill provide splendid views of the lake and the surrounding dramatic hilly countryside. Sundowners on the hill are a lovely experience at the end of the day.
